The Red River Valley Fair Association has the following employment opportunities available.

Executive Administrative Assistant

Our Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact at the Red River Valley Fair Association whether in person for walk in customers or on the phone. It is very important that this person is outgoing, polite and a people person with a willingness to learn and help others. You will be responsible for supporting our CEO and Executive team by creating correspondence, project management, report analysis and logistical planning. Our ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Director of Agriculture

As the Director of agriculture, you will create an agriculture education center that offers our fairgoers an exciting and educational experience. you will design the center with an effective layout while creating a strategic long-term plan for the building. being the host of the center while being a resource person and livestock attendant is something you should take to heart and enjoy. fFA and 4-H are clubs you have belonged to or are very familiar with. you will work with these groups and others in the community to increase their involvement with our events. the livestock department will also fall under your watch for which you will prepare the premium book, award, entries, signs, and take care of any other needs for this area. the big Iron farm show will have you assigning vendor booth spaces, preparing license agreements, coordinating mailings and receipt of all agreements, insurance certificates and payments. to thrive in this position, you must be an advocate for local agriculture.

grounds and Maintenance: plumbing experience

As part of our operations Team, you will assist in maintaining the grounds, buildings, and equipment. you have had some additional training or experience in plumbing. you will be our go to person in the area of plumbing and seeking someone with a passion to learn the grounds and buildings and anticipate issues so we can resolve them before they happen. you will create a safe environment for our customers and employees. we are a fair so we have a fun environment filled with new adventures and tasks each day!

grounds and Maintenance

As part of our operations Team, you will assist in maintaining the grounds, buildings, and equipment. you will create an atmosphere that is eye appealing and safe for our customers. every day you are using the knowledge you have and learning additional skills. to thrive in this position, you should like working with your hands, building, making minor repairs, and maintaining a large grounds. you will be setting up for events large and small, performing snow removal, landscaping, mowing, trimming, painting, garbage pickup, cleaning, all that needs to be completed to maintain the facility. you are comfortable working with a team and alone. you are eager to learn new skills such as operating equipment. you may have worked on a maintenance crew in the past or volunteered for a group performing similar tasks.

Bartender - special events

ยท The Bartender must be 21 years of age. The Bartender has the responsibility of taking and filling customer orders. The Bartender must have, or be able to complete, their Server Certification Training.
