Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development is responsible for growing the organization by identifying new markets, customers, and revenue streams, and developing and executing strategies to expand the business.

This will be accomplished by building strategic partnerships; establishing and nurturing relationships with partners, vendors, sponsors, affiliates, and key stakeholders; and negotiating agreements that align with the company’s long-term goals. By assessing marketing and competitive opportunities, researching trends, competitors, and customer needs, and using insights to guide decision-making, this role will recommend new initiatives.

This position will be responsible for developing and managing assigned sponsorship programs, securing funding, and cultivating long-term relationships with corporate and community partners. You will lead sponsorship strategy from prospecting and proposal development through contract execution, activation, and fulfillment.

This role blends business development, sales, lead generation, public and government relations, and event operations into one exciting position for a motivated professional who enjoys closing deals and seeing their work come to life at major events.

Marketing Street Team

The Marketing Street Team Member is responsible for promoting the Red River Valley Fair Association by representing the Fair and Speedway at community events, pop-up activations, and local festivals.

This role is accomplished by engaging with the public face-to-face, sharing information about upcoming events, distributing promotional materials, and assisting with interactive activations such as games, giveaways, and sponsor promotions. Street Team members help drive awareness, attendance, and community engagement through positive brand representation.

This position supports the marketing team by assisting with event setup and teardown, encouraging email sign-ups and social media follows, and providing feedback on community interactions.

This role blends grassroots marketing, brand ambassadorship, customer engagement, and event support into a flexible, high-energy position ideal for outgoing individuals who enjoy representing a brand in the community.

Sponsorship Intern

The Sponsorship Intern is responsible for supporting sponsorship activation, execution, and partner engagement across the Red River Valley Fair and Red River Valley Speedway.

This role is accomplished by assisting with on-site sponsor activations, signage, hospitality areas, VIP experiences, and promotional assets, while working closely with the marketing, operations, and event teams to ensure sponsors receive a high-quality, well-executed experience. The intern will also support sponsor appreciation, retention efforts, and post-event recaps to help demonstrate sponsorship value.

This position supports the sponsorship team through lead generation, proposal preparation, and sponsorship tracking, while also assisting with marketing content, event operations, and administrative tasks as needed.

This role blends sponsorship fulfillment, relationship management, marketing support, and live event operations into an immersive internship for a motivated individual interested in partnerships, sales, and event marketing.

Marketing & Events Intern

The Marketing & Events Intern is responsible for supporting the promotion, marketing, and execution of events across the Red River Valley Fair and Red River Valley Speedway.

This role is accomplished by assisting with social media content creation, digital marketing campaigns, graphic design, and promotional materials, while also supporting event setup, on-site execution, and guest engagement. The intern works closely with the Marketing & Events team to help bring events to life both online and in person.

This position supports daily programs, special events, and Speedway race nights through hands-on marketing support, fan engagement activities, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed.

This role blends marketing, content creation, event operations, and live event execution into an immersive internship for a creative, organized individual interested in marketing, communications, and event management.
