As our Marketing and Events Intern you will help the Director of Marketing and Events to promote our events, ensuring that the public stays well-informed. You will assist in preparing for our events to guarantee an exciting experience for our customers. Every day you are using the knowledge you have and learning additional skills on how to make effective Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok posts. Some days you may be promoting an event through social media platforms, creating graphics, printing signage, or helping set up an event.

As our Ag Ed Intern, you will help create an agriculture education center that offers our fairgoers an exciting and educational experience. you will act as the host of the center while being a resource person and livestock attendant. every day you are using the knowledge you have and learning additional skills to care for animals, create curriculum, and hands on Activities.

As part of our operations Team, you will assist in maintaining the grounds, buildings, and equipment. you will create an atmosphere that is eye appealing and safe for our customers. every day you are using the knowledge you have and learning additional skills.

to thrive in this position, you should like Working Outside maintaining the grounds and working with your hands, making minor repairs and some general building. your main tasks will be to mow, trim, maintain the grounds, which includes garbage pickup and setting up for events including fair. you are comfortable working with a team and alone. you are eager to learn new skills such as operating equipment. You may have worked on a lawn or maintenance crew in the past or volunteered for a group performing similar tasks.

The job of event staff is to provide for the safety and welfare of the guests on the red river valley fairgrounds, minimizing the frequency and/or severity of harmful incidents; and communicating observations and/or incidents that have a potential impact on the general well-being of guests and/or visitors and fair personnel. to accomplish these tasks, the event staff members work closely with the fair's head of security, cass county sheriff's department and fair personnel.

there are day, evening and weekend shifts available between 6 am and 12 am (midnight), June 28-30, July 4-7, & July 11-14. come work at the fair and have some fun!
